So this week we had two big releases from two different genres.
Loki joins the ongoing MCU TV series on Disney+ and Yuffie joins Cloud, Barret etc. on Final Fantasy 7 Remake: INTERgrade. But there are only so many hours in a day! Some people are putting off one to enjoy the other right away, and we want to know which one you would (or did) pick for the week. Personally, I picked Loki. I’m knee-deep in Control so unfortunately FF7R is gonna have to wait a little. That’s up next in the game queue though!
As far as the new Microsoft Game Pass streaming devices, I’ve personally never been a huge fan of subscription services. I want to pay for something once and then use it as much as I want. But that’s not the way things go these days (I sound so old here…), and as I said on the show the game streaming services that I have actually tried (streaming Control on Switch, Nvidia GeForce Now and Playstation Now) work better than I expected.
You won’t be competing in any eSports leagues with streaming games anytime soon, but otherwise I find them to be very playable. I have great Internet at my house though! Not everyone does, and time will tell if there are enough people with both good Internet and a desire to pay a monthly subscription to own zero games. Microsoft is betting there are.
And if you still don’t know who Yoko Kanno is or why it’s a big deal she is involved in the live action Cowboy Bebop (or just want a little positive 2020 nostalgia for some reason), here the is project that Mason Lieberman put together last year starting with only a cheap Facebook ad. So you never know where your own projects might go!
